Overview
Raymond Ong has extensive knowledge of the legal and commercial aspects of ship building and repair, having acted for both shipyards and shipowners in contentious and non-contentious work in this area and having spent some time in an internationally known shipyard, and has also represented various shipyards in construction and design disputes involving commercial and offshore vessels and luxury yachts.
He has also represented banks, financial institutions and shipyards in numerous enforcement and judicial sales of vessels, as well as other areas of admiralty and shipping and related commercial disputes, both in Court and in international arbitration. He is also familiar with disputes involving oil trading and bunkering.
